Heart Disease Clinic
The term ‘heart disease’ refers to several types of different heart conditions which affect the blood flow to the heart. Decreased blood flow can cause more serious conditions like a heart attack or strokes.
There are many different symptoms of heart disease, from acute chest pain, back pain to ongoing shortness of breath, fatigue and swelling to feet, ankles and legs. Heart disease can be linked with other diseases and lifestyles choices such as diabetes, obesity, unhealthy diet, excessive alcohol or physical inactivity.
Within Swan Medical Group, we have a group of practitioners working with the GP’s, (Nurse Practitioners and Pharmacists) to help minimise some risk factors that can contribute to heart disease including lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol and provide smoking cessation. We provide telephone or face to face appointments to ensure we can support and educate our patients when needed.
