Surgery PODs – What are they?

Surgery PODs are in our Reception areas, it is a secure process that gives you the opportunity to record your blood pressure, height & weight.

What will it look like?

You’ll find a blood pressure machine, scales & stadiometer (to measure your height), located in a quiet enclosed area of Reception.

What do I need to do?

Start by entering your details on to the screen, then follow the onscreen prompts, ensuring you’ve completed each section & clicked save.

Why should I use them?

When you use a POD the data is automatically coded to your medical records & flagged to the relevant team, who will continue with the next steps of the review process & feedback to you.

Text invitations may ask you to use a POD to provide certain information. This data enable us to streamline our recall process, increasing appointment capacity.

We understand that using a POD might not always be appropriate, so the Reception Team are at hand to answer any questions & provide support where needed.
