Say Hello to our new GP: Dr Oliver Ruscombe-King
We are delighted to welcome Dr Oliver RuscombeKing to the SMG team who will be based at the Swan Surgery site in Petersfield, he will be looking after the patients moved from Dr Fiona Jacklin’s list, please read on to learn more about him:
“My family and I have recently relocated to the area from Oxfordshire and I have been warmly welcomed to the Swan by staff and patients alike. I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of patients already and look forward to meeting many more of you in the near future. I am now responsible for the patient list previously under Dr Jacklin at the Swan Surgery in Petersfield. My working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday”
Spring Booster Campaign
We will be starting our Covid Spring Booster campaign in late April, with clinics on weekdays as well as Saturdays. Those eligible will be contacted by the surgery. The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Patients aged over 75
- Immunosuppressed patients
- Patients aged 65 and above who reside in a care home.
Health Promotion Event
Organised by our Patient Participation Group
FREE TO ATTEND, 27th April 10.30am – 12.30pm.
We are running a free event on Saturday 27th April at the Liss Pavilion, Station Rd, Liss GU33 7AQ. The event will cover child and baby CPR as well as Minor Illness advice. 10.30am – 12.30pm.
We will be texting patients so they can book their free place online, if you do not have a smartphone and would like to book please call us on 01730 264011. Places are limited.

Join the Team! The PPG Are Recruiting
The SMG Patient Participation Group are keen to recruit new members from those surgeries in the Swan Medical Group that are underrepresented, or not represented at all. We have lots of members from Swan Petersfield and so are keen to see more Liss and Liphook area patients join the group. Meetings are hybrid in nature so that members can attend in person or online. If you are interested, please speak to your GP in the first instance. Communication Preferences
All patients are automatically opted in to receive emails, text messages and phone calls, however if you wish to not receive one of these forms of communication, you can opt out at any time by contacting the surgery. Please bear in mind, if you opt out of text messages, you will no longer receive appointment reminders or messages about events such as our flu clinics.

Liphook Clothing Bank
Liphook Clothing Bank aims to help the families in our area and surrounding villages with donated clothes, baby bundles and sometimes presents for children. Families who need a little or a lot of support can contact the charity through their Facebook page or by TEXTING only 07743306243
